Teach Them How to Fish: A Grant Writing for the Faith Community

The South Carolina Department on Aging is hosting a free grant writing workshop for the faith community, Teach Them How to Fish: A Grant Writing for the Faith CommunityIn addition to presentations from expert grant writers, this event will offer participants the opportunity to hear first-hand about two grant offerings funded by the South Carolina Department on Aging. This program will be from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the William H. Jones Center, Columbia International University, 7435 Monticello Road, Columba.  A free lunch will be served.

Authority of Scripture Week: “Choosing the Books of the Bible (Or, Why We Don’t Read Tobit)”

Come hear Dr. John Meade talk about why we have the books in our Bibles that we do and how we can know they are God’s Word. This is the first of three talks given as part of this year’s Authority of Scripture Week.

12:00-1:00 pm

Come enjoy time with Dr. John Meade and his wife Annie for an informal lunch in the back dining room of the cafeteria. You’ll have a chance to hear about their own personal journey and to talk more about what Dr. Meade has presented for Authority of Scripture Week.

Come hear Dr. John Meade talk about how the Bible has been passed down to us today from ancient times and why we can trust it. This is the second of three talks given as part of this year’s Authority of Scripture Week.

Our expert faculty will share current research on integrating religious content and practices into Psychotherapy across models and religions.
