Why study Bible at CIU?
All students at CIU complete a Biblical Studies Core as part of the undergraduate degree. The Bible Major offers students the opportunity to pursue further academic study in Bible and Theology. Students can choose to specialize in Old or New Testament Studies, or they can customize a course of study through electives in theology, Biblical studies, and Biblical languages.
Career and Ministry Opportunities
The Bible Major prepares students for serving God in a variety of ministry and professional contexts, and it also provides a solid foundation for seminary or graduate studies. For those heading into professional contexts, the Bible major can provide a natural complement to a professional major and prepare students for representing Christ in the workplace. This course of study also prepares students for a lifetime of growing deeper in the Christian life through studying God’s word.
