Thanks to our generous donors, you may apply for donor-supported scholarships to help offset the cost of your education. Donor scholarships are available for qualified full-time undergraduate, graduate and seminary students.

Before you get started on your search, find out how to apply, who qualifies and what the restrictions are for CIU donor scholarships.

If you are awarded a donor scholarship it can replace a portion or all of your other CIU aid.

How to Apply

The Financial Aid Office is glad to offer you a master donor scholarship application. Now you only have to complete and submit one application to be considered for multiple donor scholarships for which you may qualify.

In addition to submitting a donor scholarship application, you must submit a current-year FAFSA. International students are not required to submit a FAFSA, but may still apply for a donor scholarship provided the other eligibility requirements are met.

Each scholarship has specific qualifications which are listed above. All scholarships require that you are a full-time student for the fall and spring semesters. Summer courses do not count towards full-time status. New graduate students applying for scholarships must be accepted to CIU.

Students not eligible for donor scholarships:

  • New undergraduate students for the 2024-2025 academic year
  • Students receiving Educational Benefits
  • Doctoral students
  • Students in Online-only programs of study and are not pursuing a Master of Arts or Master of Divinity
  • Students taking courses not required for their degree
