Description

The Director of Student Activities plans and execute events and activities in order to provide exceptional experiences for the student body, encouraging on-campus student engagement. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, arranging and communicating events for Student Life, Residence (Res) Life and SGA, and leading student workers in REC Team and C23 Game Hosts. This is a temporary position through at least June 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating details and volunteers for Welcome Weekend and Finals Week per semester.
  • Oversight of REC Team, student workers who plan, prepare, and host events for Student Life and Res Life.
  • Coordinating with Res Life, Spiritual Formation, and SGA to arrange events and tickets for event support.
  • Oversee operations of C23 Game Room as well as hire, train and supervise C23 Game Hosts.
  • Arrange communication and marketing with Student Life team of all on-campus events to all faculty, staff, and students.
  • Report purchases and budget for Student Activity fund to Associate Dean for Student Life.
  • Manage and organize Student Life storage rooms.

Qualifications

  • Event planning and organization experience and/or training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, and Teams) and Canva.
  • Willing to learn campus specific software including Jenzabar One & Hubs, Squarespace, Softdocs, and Handshake.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One-year supervisory experience minimum.
