CIU women's volleyball avenged an early season loss to Bryan College (Tenn.) as the Rams swept the Lions (25-23, 25-10, 25-22) in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament title match Nov. 11. The win gives CIU their second consecutive AAC Women's Volleyball Tournament Championship. The Rams also repeat as outright AAC Champions, having won the regular-season title for the third straight season.

The Rams’ Kira Rymer Attaway was named MVP of the tournament.

Coach Katie Weiss says she is humbled to win the conference championship in her first season as CIU head coach.

“I can't say enough about our girls,” Weiss said. “It has been a joy to be around this team all season, and it is awesome to see their hard work rewarded with this accomplishment. I hope this is just the beginning of what will be a deep postseason run.”
