OB/GYN speaks out against New York abortion law

Comments by Columbia International University alumnus Dr. Omar L. Hamada, who has delivered more than 2,500 babies, have gone viral after he went on national television to say there is “absolutely no reason” to kill a baby in the third trimester.

Hamada was commenting on a bill recently signed into law in New York State by Gov. Andrew Cuomo that allows abortions up until birth in many cases.

Hamada is an OB/GYN, former army surgeon and ordained minister who earned a Certificate in Biblical Studies and Missions from Columbia Biblical Seminary (CBS) in 1988 and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from CBS in 2017.

In the TV interview with the FOX News Channel, Hamada called it “sick that we’re celebrating the death of infants – of babies that could live outside of the womb.”

Hamada is involved in a variety of ministries through speaking engagements and his website Designed Mastery. He says his life passions are “shaped by an innate fervor to see the oppressed liberated through changed hearts and minds. The ultimate aim is lives transformed for the sake of the Kingdom of Christ.”
