Columbia International University President Dr. Mark Smith has penned his thoughts on recent events in the United States beginning with the videotaped death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, and peaceful demonstrations that turned to riots. 

In a letter to the CIU community, Smith calls on Christians to follow the command of Christ to love one another.
