Working on college applications? When it comes to choosing a college or university in South Carolina, Columbia International University continues to rank among very best — and the safest.

CIU is ranked #6 among South Carolina colleges and universities in 2020’s College & University survey published by WalletHub, a personal finance and credit score company.

To determine which schools offer top-notch education at the most reasonable prices, WalletHub compares more than 880 universities across 33 key measures. Their data set is grouped into seven categories, such as Student Selectivity, Cost & Financing and Career Outcomes. The metrics range from student-faculty ratio to graduation rate to post-attendance median salary.

CIU Provost Dr. Jim Lanpher says the ranking shows CIU's commitment to high academic standards.

"We are pleased that the quality of education at CIU continues to be recognized by outside agencies," Lanpher said.

Additionally, WalletHub ranks CIU in a tie for #1 when it comes to campus safety, not just in South Carolina, but the nation!

Meanwhile, College Consensus lists CIU Online among the best for Christian colleges and universities, and CIU is yearly among the Top Regional Universities in the South in the U.S. News & World Report survey.

Excitement is growing on campus with CIU’s first baseball team to take the field this spring, and new academic programs such as the Doctor of Ministerial LeadershipRequest information on enrollment at CIU and Columbia Biblical Seminary or call (800) 777-2227, ext. 5024
