A new book by Columbia International University Professor Dr. Benjamin J. Noonan offers new insights into the study of biblical Hebrew and Aramaic.

Noonan is an associate professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at CIU. His book is titled, “Advances in the Study of Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic.” It provides an accessible, comprehensive, up-to-date, and linguistically-informed investigation of Hebrew and Aramaic.

In the book’s preface, Noonan thanks his CIU students for encouraging him to continue to grow in his understanding of biblical Hebrew and biblical Aramaic.

“Their questions and insights challenge me to think more deeply about the biblical languages and to become the best teacher and scholar I can be,” writes Noonan. “My students serve daily as a reminder of why I do what I do, and for this I am very thankful.”

The book is drawing media attention. Listen to Noonan talk about biblical Hebrew and Aramaic in this interview on The Shaun Tabatt Show. Noonan also describes the importance of his study in this video with Zondervan.
