Columbia International University student Alejandro Betancur dedicated the summer of 2018 to reflecting on the wonders of God’s creation in Grand Canyon National Park, and ministering to those he met along the way. Betancur, an Intercultural Studies major, connected with ACMNP — A Christian Ministry in the National Parks — for an entirely new experience.

Betancur said that God “allowed him to experience some very interesting conversations with backpackers, with hitchhikers with people that are like running away from homes and then people who were from my home. I was able to encourage some of these people I met, pray for others as well. It was really incredible how God was able to use me in those situations.”

Betancur’s summer in the Grand Canyon is the topic of the ACMNP blog written by Ross Yarrow who recently sat down with Bentancur in CIU’s Rossi Student Center. Read “ACMNP Alumni Spotlight: Alejandro Betancur.”
