1,800 Mile Bicycle Tour of East Coast Ends in Portland, Maine

Five young men on bicycles representing Columbia International University circled the Portland Head Light, a Portland, Maine lighthouse landmark on July 27, ending a 1,800 mile tour of the East Coast that began in Fernandina Beach, Fla. on June 7.

The 1More Tour featured four CIU students and one CIU alumnus: Matthew Densky, Jeremy Rife, Drew Williams and brothers Izzy and Grayson Markle.

In what amounted to a new "sport" called Extreme College Recruiting, the goal of the tour was to recruit 1More student for CIU, reconnect with 1More CIU alumnus and share God's love and forgiveness with 1More person. The men made stops in cities along the way to speak in churches and to stay in the homes of CIU alumni.

CIU alumni who live in Maine were at the finish line as were friends of the bicyclists who made a trip to Maine to celebrate.
