Several members of the CIU men’s basketball team took time to help the local elementary school get ready for the return of in-class learning during the COVID era. The Rams travelled down Monticello Road to Forest Heights Elementary School to set up shields in the classrooms.  Team members are already familiar to the school as they regularly offer mentoring to the students to help improve reading skills.

All of CIU athletics was recently honored for its commitment to ministry and community service with the Sports Ministry Award presented by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). The award is presented to an NCCAA member institution for “significant spiritual outreach through the utilization of athletic ministries.”
