Are we really satisfied?

Satisfaction. It's something we can never seem to get, at least long
term. We can be satisfied for a short time by our favorite treats, a
song on the radio, a new video game and many other things but so many
people seek and desire long term satisfaction.
Often, they turn to a relationship to find it, or even an addiction.
What would happen if people searched to find satisfaction in Christ
rather than other things especially relationships? I am not saying
relationships are bad at all, I think they are a beautiful gift from
God if they are for the right reasons. If people sought after God and
what He had for them, how many relationships would not exist? Too many
times have I seen relationships come up due to insecurities and the
desire to be loved and longed for. I think this is a real problem not
only in our school but also in society. The idea of a relationship is
great, and sometimes a relationship with a specific person is even
better, but a relationship should not be even thought of as an idea
because it is reality. It is something you have to work at, you grow
with each other in Christ, you cry together, laugh together, and build
many memories. You may or may not stay together for a lifetime, you
really never know.
I'm just wondering what would happen if people stopped trying to find
satisfaction in others and started looking up to Christ?
How many relationships would not exist or better, would be made stronger?
I challenge you all (myself included) to really find satisfaction in
Christ and what He has for you. Everything will fall into place in His
time, and it will be absolutely beautiful - even more beautiful than
before!
In Christ,
