Chinese MA Cybersecurity Program Director

Description

The Chinese MA Cybersecurity Program Director oversees curriculum design and other academic related issues.  

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop curriculum for master of arts in cyber security.
  • Recruit and train adjunct faculty members.
  • Oversee and facilitate the accreditation of bachelor of science in computer science.
  • Serve as the lead in academic related issues, including but not limited to course arrangements, academic calendar monitoring, course rotation, coordinating teaching load for adjuncts, and serve as advisor for some of the students in the program.
  • Design and teach courses that fall in the expertise in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Chinese. Ability to teach in both English and Chinese.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to address student academic-related issues and concerns in support of retention and student success.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. Must be able to relate to and communicate with diverse students, faculty, staff, and external communities.
  • Ability to present a professional image on behalf of the Kepha Institute.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems in support of quality teaching and learning.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Positive attitude and high energy.
  • Commitment to professional integrity, including knowledge of and commitment to upholding federal confidentiality guidelines regarding confidentiality of student academic information.
  • Commitment to maintaining best practices in service, innovation, and efficiency.
  • Commitment to a collaborative work environment.
  • Awareness of and aptitude to understand, respect, and adapt to cultural and identity-based difference within group environments appropriately and effectively.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to concepts and issues tied to biblical education, Christian higher education.
  • Skills related to creating and supporting an environment that allows for inclusion, effective intercultural engagement, and personal humility and authenticity.
  • Experience fostering and reinforcing an environment that values unique experiences, cultures, backgrounds, and goals.
  • Doctoral degree or equivalent experience required.
  • At least five years of related teaching and administrative experience required.
