James was born and raised in Deerfield Beach, Florida. After graduating from college, he taught high school and was a primary children’s pastor for a church in California before marrying and moving to South Carolina for seminary.  After completing his first master’s degree, he moved to Michigan, where he served at a church for four years before accepting his current role.

James’ passion centers around two aspects of calling: first seeing people live out their primary calling of having a passionate relationship with the Lord and secondary calling to understand their gifting, and design for vocation.
