George and Annette Murray served for 13 years as missionaries in Italy.

Dr. George W. Murray, who served as Columbia International University’s fifth president from 2000-2007, is a highly sought-after speaker around the world, especially on the topic of fulling The Great Commission.  

Murray, who is also a CIU alumnus, recently spoke at three churches in Memphis, as well as going on the radio to discuss the “Mandate for World Missions.” He was a guest on the radio show Mid-South Viewpoint, a part of the Christian broadcasting group, The Bott Radio Network.

Murray’s background in missions includes serving as the executive director for The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM) and as general director of Bible Christian Union (BCU), a mission agency which merged with TEAM. Murray and his wife Annette also served as missionaries to Italy for 13 years.
