“My pleasure!”

That was the attitude of the Columbia International University Graduate/Online Admissions Team as they delivered 200 Chick-fil-A meals to the Columbia Fire Department, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, and the CIU Security Office in honor of “National First Responders Day” on Oct. 28.

Sheriff Leon Lott was among those greeting the team at the Sheriff’s Department. The Department responded on Twitter with a thank you tweet.

“It is always nice to meet our first responders and have an opportunity to personally thank them for what they do for our community,” said Scott Boyer, the CIU director of graduate and online recruitment.

CIU also offers tuition discounts to full-time employed or volunteer first responders as a way to thank them for their service. Request information on the first responders discount or call (800) 777-2227, ext. 5024.

With record enrollment for five straight years, CIU consistently ranks among the Top Regional Universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report, as well as a Best Value Regional University in the South.
