Jeff Hawkins was an artist who wanted to make a living designing album covers for heavy metal bands. But that was before God saved him and called him to preach at age 19. He would get his first training for the ministry at Columbia International University. Hawkins, a 1991 graduate of CIU is now the senior pastor of Belmont Baptist Church in Calhoun, Ga. – a thriving church that is celebrating its 60thanniversary with big plans for the future.
