Columbia International University has entered into an agreement with Christian school Cedarville University in Ohio, that guarantees interviews for admission of three CIU students who meet admission criteria for the Doctor of Pharmacy program.

Plus, Cedarville is providing a guaranteed interview for CIU students who meet admission criteria for the Physician Assistant program.

These graduate programs are for those pursuing health careers after completing a bachelor’s degree in Biology or Biomedical Sciences at CIU.

Cedarville University Dean of Graduate Studies Dr. Janice Supplee says the agreement is a perfect fit for the schools.

“In addition to our shared passion to equip graduates who will use their vocation for Kingdom impact, we value CIU’s priority on academic excellence,” Supplee said. “We are excited to welcome well-equipped, faith-informed CIU graduates to Cedarville's exceptional graduate healthcare programs."

Meanwhile, CIU’s Dean of Sciences, Dr. David Dewitt reports that CIU has also entered an agreement with Liberty University’s Master of Science in Athletic Training program, and is building a relationship with Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine—Carolinas, a medical school in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

DeWitt says he is “thrilled about these relationships and partnerships.”

“This will facilitate our preparation of future healthcare workers who will help make a difference in underserved and rural areas,” Dewitt said. “Our new programs in Biomedical Sciences and Biology are preparing students for health and science careers from a biblical worldview. We want them to be able to address both the physical and spiritual needs of others.”

Individuals who have questions about CIU’s Biology and Biomedical Sciences programs and the specific requirements for admission to the Cedarville graduate agreements should contact CIU Dean of Sciences Dr. David DeWitt at: David.DeWitt@ciu.edu.

CIU is celebrating 100 years of its mission to “educate people from a biblical worldview to impact the nations with the message of Christ.” The university consistently ranks among the Top Regional Universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report, as well as a Best Value Regional University in the South. Request information on enrollment by contacting Admissions at (803) 807-5024 or admissions@ciu.edu.
