CIU Graduate Scholarships and Grants

Grants and scholarships are a great way to pay for graduate school or seminary because unlike loans, they don't require repayment.

CIU Donor Scholarships

Eligibility Requirements:  Please note that doctoral students are not eligible for CIU scholarships and grants. Refer to the deadline and individual donor scholarship criteria.

Award Amount: Varies

Graduate Assistantships

You may apply for a graduate assistantship if you are a full-time graduate or seminary student with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Also, you must demonstrate financial need, as determined by your FAFSA. We encourage you to apply for assistantships in the Spring for the following academic year. While graduate assistantships are applied to your financial aid package, you must earn the scholarship, dedicating 12 hours per week toward the position.

To apply for an assistantship, submit one graduate assistant application to the dean's office and complete your FAFSA by the April 1 deadline. International students are not required to complete a FAFSA.  The deans will review all the applications and conduct interviews.

If you are selected, you must submit the GA work contract and paperwork no later than the first day of classes. Scholarship funds will be awarded once Financial Aid receives the graduate assistantship contract.

Graduate assistantship applications for 2023-2024 are available now.

CIU Alumni Grant

Eligibility Requirements: Must be a CIU undergraduate alumni transitioning to CIU Master's program.
